Assistant / Data Entry Clerk (Part-Time)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist parts manager in maintaining inventory on a daily basis Place daily parts order Assist parts manager in processing daily stock orders Ensure that unused "outside purchase parts" are returned to vendors Ensure that credits are received for returned parts Remove returned parts from inventory after credit is received Return cores in a timely manner and follow up for receipt of credit Match purchase orders and invoices , approve, and forward to accounting office File company copies of parts invoices Assist counterpeople with cash , check, and credit card processing when available Update parts prices for those parts without supplied tapes Assist in preparing for annual parts inventory Take messages for counterpeople and parts manager when they are unable to answer the phone Keep parts office area clean

REQUIREMENTS

Microsoft Word and Excel proficient Accurate, efficient data entry; attention to detail Accounting or Business Degree (will be considered without education if work history is sufficient) Automotive experience is a plus, but not necessary Exceptional customer service and communication skills Ability to learn in a fast paced environment Valid Texas driver's license Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Pass drug test Self-disciplined Motivated to go above and beyond the minimum standard Lift up to 40 pounds Able to stoop, kneel, crawl, reach and handle parts and equipment Able to work in an environment that is dusty and where various chemical compounds and paint is used
