Aerial Data Collection Technicians Accel Talent Group Richmond, VA Job Details $22 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Data collection Full Job Description We're hiring Aerial Data Collection Technicians, no prior experience required. You will operate data collection equipment for aircraft mapping and surveying projects.
Great for candidates who are:
Detail-oriented Technically curious Comfortable with travel and structured work Key Responsibilities Operate onboard data collection equipment to capture mapping, imaging, or survey data (training provided) Follow detailed, step-by-step procedures to ensure data is collected accurately and consistently Monitor equipment and software systems in real time, identifying and communicating any issues or irregularities Perform pre-flight setup and system checks to confirm all equipment is functioning properly before takeoff Conduct post-flight tasks including powering down systems, securing equipment, and preparing data for transfer Review and organize collected data files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper labeling for internal teams and clients Maintain clear and accurate records of flight activities, data collection logs, and any issues encountered Assist with basic troubleshooting, calibration, and routine maintenance of onboard equipment Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines while working in and around aircraft Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes, equipment, and workflow efficiency Not a pilot role. No aviation experience needed.
