Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in processing invoices for the Accounts Payable department in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your organizational and data management skills while contributing to a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of 200-250 invoices daily with accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, review, and input data as needed.
- Scan and digitize documents to maintain accurate and accessible records.
- Ensure proper coding of invoices for streamlined processing within the Accounts Payable system.
- Perform quality checks to identify and correct any data entry errors.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly processing goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with care.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Provide support for additional administrative tasks as assigned. Requirements
- Proven experience in data entry, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other basic computer applications.
- Strong typing skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Understanding of Accounts Payable processes and invoice coding.
- Ability to manage large volumes of data under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
