The Administrative Specialist III is responsible for reviewing applicants, the processing of applications and supporting documentation, and assisting prospective students through the application process. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing and interpreting data to ensure applicants and their supporting documentation are processed consistently to the standards set forth by the University's Admission Policy. Maintains student records to ensure accurate and neat data. Assists prospective students through the admissions process in-person or by communicating through phone or email. Assists with document processing and customer service when needed. Reviews and answers correspondence relating to the institution programs. Interprets institution administrative directives, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent application. Provides information, assistance, and clarifications to interested parties concerning institution programs, policies, and procedures. Conducts identity verification to ensure applicant authenticity and compliance with institutional policies and data security standards. Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics. Knowledge of research and analysis techniques and methods. Knowledge of work-related subject area. Knowledge of computers and software applications. Ability to prepare and review written information and reports. Ability to research and analyze related work program information. Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures. Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others. Ability to perform identity verification in compliance with applicable policies and data security standards.Minimum Requirements:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma. Plus one year of specialized training in related field applicable to work performed.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Ellucian Banner, ARGOS, and AppXtender. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Slate CRM and Axiom Elite. Experience working in a college admissions office, including application processing and analyzing transcripts. Ability to analyze and interpret written material and quantitative data to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on that data.Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:
