Job Summary This position interacts with a diverse population of prospective and current students; provides information as the first point of contact on campus; processes admission, residency and registration related forms; assists students with online self-service options; assists with triage of student needs and entering into virtual waiting line system; supports Welcome Desk and phones; makes appropriate referrals to other related student services; other duties as assigned. Essential Functions 60%: Serve as member of college's Call Center, answering not only Admissions & Records questions, but also general questions about the college, referring to other persons/departments as needed. Will also make outbound calls for various college outreach. 20%: Assist students with admissions, records and registration processes, guiding students through process and next steps, and processing Admissions & Records forms. 10%: Assist with special events (Coyote Kickoff, program-specific information sessions) by performing Admissions & Records functions (registration, identification authentication, etc.) as needed 10%: Assist as needed at Welcome Desk (when working in-person) Minimum Qualifications 1. Some college and one year of relevant work experience 2. Experience providing high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment, including call center experience 3. Experience with data entry and online data platforms (Banner, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, etc.) 4. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing Desired Qualifications 1. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures 2. Experience working in a student support area in higher education 3. Experience working in a Call Center environment 4.
