1 Westside Family Health Center (WFHC) is a nonprofit community clinic dedicated to providing high quality, low cost healthcare to more than 12,000 women, men and children. Founded in 1974, WFHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 50+ employees and volunteers. Primary Responsibilities The Enrollment Specialist will provide enrollment assistance (including but not limited to completing coverage applications, gathering required documents, and troubleshooting the enrollment process) for uninsured adults to access subsidized, low-cost and free health insurance programs through the health insurance marketplace, Medi-Cal Program Eligibility (MAGI and Non-MAGI) & Annual Redeterminations, Covered California Open Enrollment & Program Changes, Kaiser Permanente Community Health Care Programs . The Enrollment Specialist will explain the options available to the patient, and directly assist with the application and enrollment processes. The Enrollment Specialist will provide a safe and confidential environment for patients and families. Qualifications Ability to convey a positive and professional image while maintaining contact with focus audience. Self-motivated, flexible and a team player, must have the ability to work independently, yet know when to ask questions. Must be well organized, have excellent phone/people skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks. Effective verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills desirable. Demonstrated ability to manage databases and spreadsheets. Must have strong computer skills and effective communication skills a plus, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point. Available to work some evenings and weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Education High school diploma or work experience in a relevant position.
