Job Description
Department Patient Access_Corp Job Summary Responsible for monitoring the Pre-Arrival services phone lines, email and handling all requests from outside departments. Monitors accuracy of accounts and Pre-Arrival staff registrations, performing random audits to keep with quality metrics within department standards. Works in coordination with ancillary departments to provide the most efficient processes and use of resources. Maintains data and quality integrity for all involved systems in coordination with the Pre-Arrival leaders. Serves as a resource to registration staff in all functions. Required Qualifications
- Require an associate degree. Relevant experience can substitute for required degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Require (2) two years of scheduling or insurance software or equivalent experience with a minimum of one (1) year of experience utilizing SMHCS systems.
- Require Certified Healthcare Access Association (CHAA) or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire/transfer date. Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer knowledge of ICD-10 coding and current CPT coding.
- Prefer the ability to analyze problems and offer solutions.
- Prefer the ability to work in a call center environment.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
- Prefer demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prefer the ability to be tactful and diplomatic.
- Prefer general knowledge of various insurance payers benefits and third-party regulations.
