$20.41-$30.61 At Gateway Regional Medical Center, we know that timely provider credentialing and enrollment directly impact patient access and reimbursement. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payor Credentialing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team and play a key role in ensuring our providers are enrolled, credentialed, and ready to care for our community. What You'll Do As our Payor Credentialing Specialist, you will manage provider enrollment and credentialing activities to support timely reimbursement and uninterrupted provider participation.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate provider credentialing, enrollment, recredentialing, and maintenance with governmental and commercial payors Prepare, submit, track, and maintain provider applications and supporting documentation Monitor enrollment status and proactively resolve delays or issues Maintain accurate provider demographic and enrollment records across systems Partner with Revenue Cycle, Medical Staff, Operations, and leadership teams Support provider onboarding and readiness efforts Assist with enrollment-related claim resolution and reimbursement continuity Maintain compliance with payor and regulatory requirements Generate reporting and support credentialing audits and process improvement efforts What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum two (2) years of credentialing, provider enrollment, medical staff services, revenue cycle, or healthcare operations experience Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and credentialing platforms Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field Experience with hospital-based or employed provider credentialing Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers Why Join Gateway?
