$55,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience and agreed upon hours. Benefits:

9am-3pm in August (light work with flexible, remote hours in July) . School Year Hours:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Accountant & Enrollment Manager to oversee the financial operations and student enrollment processes that support our program's success. This is a key administrative role responsible for managing accounting, payroll, budgeting, benefits administration, tuition billing, and financial reporting, while also coordinating annual student enrollment, financial assistance, and family records management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys balancing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the mission of a community-focused nonprofit organization. This is a full-time, in-office position located in Newtonville, MA. Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management:
Develop the annual operating budget and prepare monthly financial reports for the Board of Directors. Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit process. Oversee monthly tuition billing and collections for families and external agencies. Manage ACH enrollment and monthly tuition payment processing. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances. Process payroll through ADP, including timekeeping and employee attendance records. Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, disability insurance, and 401(k) enrollment. Manage accounts payable and process vendor payments through online banking platforms. Maintain petty cash and employee reimbursement records. Reconcile bank, savings, and investment accounts. Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and Excel. Ensure secure organization and retention of accounting, legal, insurance, employment, and corporate records. Coordinate employee technology needs with external IT support providers. Enrollment & Administrative Management:
Lead the annual student enrollment process from application through registration. Collect and manage student application data. Create and maintain enrollment rosters and waitlists. Coordinate financial assistance applications and awards. Prepare, distribute, and collect family enrollment contracts. Maintain accurate student and family records using Procare. Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate financial reports and maintain detailed financial records. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management practices. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred:
Experience with ADP payroll systems. Experience working in nonprofit, educational, or child-focused organizations. Familiarity with student enrollment or database management systems such as Procare.
