8 Stoughton, MA Job Details 21 hours ago Qualifications Pharmacy Technician License PTCB Certification Full Job Description Eligibility Specialist (Pharmacy Technician / Benefits Investigation) Overview The Eligibility Specialist plays a key role in growing specialty pharmacy services by identifying patients eligible for Shields Partner Pharmacy , completing benefits investigations , and ensuring accurate documentation—while maintaining strict confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Perform benefits investigations and verify insurance coverage Utilize approved tools, EMR systems , and Pharmacy Dispensing Systems (PDS) Review patient medical records to confirm medication regimens Accurately document investigation outcomes Collaborate with team members to support high-quality patient care Identify trends, resolve issues, and recommend process improvements Participate in ongoing operational and performance improvement initiatives Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and organizational information Stay current through professional development and training Complete additional duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Strong computer skills with ability to quickly learn EMR and PDS platforms Highly organized with strong attention to detail Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High integrity with ability to handle confidential healthcare data Adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED 0-1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician ✅ Licensure & Certification State Pharmacy Technician License (required) PTCB certification (required) Additional state certification may be required based on placement Must obtain required licensure within agreed timeframe if not already held Keywords for Search Visibility Eligibility Specialist, Pharmacy Technician, Benefits Investigation, Insurance Verification, Specialty Pharmacy, EMR, Healthcare Support, Entry-Level Pharmacy Role California residents employed by or applying for work at Shields have certain privacy rights.
