CAREERS THAT MATTER IMMEDIATE OPENING
Intake Specialist-Wareham/Cape Cod __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ South Shore Early Education and Care a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape and Islands and Wareham. South Shore Early Education and Care is seeking an Intake Specialist at their Wareham Location, 30 hrs./wk./52 wks. All company benefits apply, base hourly rate $21.17/hr. Travel will be required from the Wareham location amongst our Cape Cod child care programs; for client intake; and will be reimbursed according to company policy and the IRS reimbursement mileage rate, and will be during the regularly scheduled workday. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Core Responsibilities:
Assist families in the application and enrollment process. Make referrals to other programs. Master the Federal and State guidelines and eligibility requirements relating to all the programs. Navigate the case management database system-GoEngage and state subsidized childcare computer system (CCFA). Maintain standardized intake procedures, include reviewing applications, returning calls/emails, collecting documentation, scheduling intakes, and working with parents to obtain documents, completing required paperwork and generating income calculations for eligibility. Maintain childcare subsidies and recertifications, child's files, coordinate orientations, processing enrollment paperwork and required eligibility documents. Confidentiality is required.Core Qualifications:
High school diploma orHISET/GED
equivalent. MS Office Suite mastering of skill is required, excellent customer service, ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and stay organized. Intermit business travel will be required and will be reimbursed at IRS mileage rate, as approved by program director; a personal vehicle is required for travel.Minimum Requirements at employment:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- Date of posting 4/3/26 deadline to apply 4/14/26; or until a suitable candidate is found
- Valid MA state driver's license; DCF background check
