Position Summary:
Arthur Center is looking for an Enrollment Specialist who wants to do meaningful work that opens doors for people in our community. In this role, you will assess client financial needs and guide them through the Medicaid and Marketplace enrollment process, as well as sliding fee applications - connecting individuals and families to the care and coverage they need. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Client Enrollment & Financial Assessment Meet with clients in person to conduct financial assessments and identify the most appropriate coverage and assistance options Complete sliding fee applications and all required financial assistance program documentation Assist clients with Medicaid applications across a range of coverage categories, including Presumptive Eligibility, Aged/Blind/Disabled, Adult Expansion Group, Former Foster Youth, and Families Support clients with complex Medicaid cases, including providing authorized representation to the Family Support Division Assist clients with Marketplace applications and help them understand their options Update and maintain records of all financial assistance programs as directed; ensure protected health information always remains confidential Scheduling & Care Coordination Obtain client demographic information and create new charts within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Schedule appointments for all new clients and coordinate initial behavioral health appointments in accordance with Open Access policies Return client phone calls in a timely manner and coordinate with providers across multiple departments to support continuity of care Compliance & Reporting Submit weekly reports on time per Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reporting regulations Attend required weekly Navigator meetings per the Certified Application Counselor Designated Organization agreement Attend the yearly CMS conference as required by the Certified Application Counselor and Navigator Designated Organization agreement Complete all weekly MAC assignments and perform other duties as assigned Community Outreach Attend and staff booths at outreach events throughout the community Represent Arthur Center's mission and values in all community interactions with professionalism and genuine care
Skills and Attributes:
A genuine team player who contributes to a positive, collaborative work environment Proficient with basic computer skills and comfortable documenting in electronic medical records Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and manage time effectively Critical thinking skills and sound judgment in navigating complex client situations General understanding of mental health, and of Medicaid, Marketplace, and insurance benefits Ability to sit for extended periods and work effectively in a clinical office setting
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma required
Preferred:
