Job Description

Job Purpose Provide outreach and education to current FCC clients on accessing insurance options through the Missouri Eligibility & Enrollment System (MEDES). Assist clients with exploring coverage options, reapplication, redetermination, and other related needs. Educate clients on maintaining and effectively using health insurance for services at health centers. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred experience with health insurance processes, including applications, eligibility determination, appeals, and filing procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective time management and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficient computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others. Core Job Duties Provide outreach and education to clients regarding health insurance options and proper usage. Assist clients with the enrollment process, redetermination, and required components for eligibility determination. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and proficiency in MEDES, including application processes and eligibility standards. Accurately enter required eligibility information into the MEDES portal and process applications for determination. Support backlog processing of applications as time permits when not handling FCC-related tasks. Collaborate proactively with programs and supervisors to identify and encourage enrollment among eligible individuals. Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models. Orally communicate information effectively and accurately. Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency's certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care. Abide by program and agency policies and procedures. Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
