Job Summary•Why you'll love this position The Family Support Division (FSD) is seeking applications for Benefit Program Technicians. These positions will be located in the Buchanan County Customer Service Center based at 525 Jules St, St. Joseph, MO. Responsibilities•What you'll do As our Benefit Program Technician you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives. Daily tasks include but are not limited to completing eligibility interviews, interpreting policy and procedure to answer participant questions, contact participants by phone to discuss their eligibility, and review documentation to apply to Family Support Division's eligibility systems. Qualifications•All you need for success In order to succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR have a Bachelor's Degree. To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate and have a non-judgmental attitude. Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
