As our Lead Intake & Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Intake & Engagement Specialists (who are valuable first points of contact for new and existing clients), be a primary source of support and education, and conduct initial intake screenings and eligibility determination for individuals seeking SouthLight's life-saving services. This position is responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining high-quality client care standards. Schedule FT, Mon - Fri 7am - 3pm at Raleigh location. Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $100 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Company paid life insurance, short and long term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and additional pay for working holidays. Job Responsibilities of a Lead Intake & Engagement Specialist Oversee and manage intake team that conducts comprehensive intake screenings for new and referred clients to determine needs and eligibility for SouthLight's services. Perform intake screenings as necessary Hire, train, and supervise intake staff. Provide leadership, guidance and support to ensure staff performance meets expectations Coordinate and oversee the scheduling and coordination of intake staffing coverage Oversee the implementation and utilization of electronic health record systems and other healthcare technologies. Train intake staff on system use and ensure proper documentation and data management practices Work closely with all SouthLight's programs to maintain communication, support collaboration, provide feedback and standardize procedures Serve as main liaison and work collaboratively with revenue cycle and authorization & enrollment teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation Familiarity with payor sources, required documentation and entering of information to ensure authorization approvals Develop an active knowledge of available resources, and work to build and strengthen professional relationships with community providers Establish systems for tracking client information (i.e. referral sources, communication logs, no shows) Qualifications of a Lead Intake & Engagement Specialist Education and Experience Minimum of HS diploma or GED Minimum 2 years' experience in front office, customer service or related field. Behavioral health experience a plus QP status preferred, not required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, positive attitude and ability to be flexible and embrace change in a fast-paced environment Advanced leadership and management skills Commitment to strong customer service focus rooted in empathy and connection with clients Excellent time management and prioritization skills to handle and manage high volume of inquires Professional interpersonal and communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, develop and carry-out project assignments in an efficient and timely manner and to provide accurate and succinct documentation of activities General understanding of the requirements for MCO's, Medicaid, Medicare, Third party payers Ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crises or resistant or negative toward organization Ability to use an electronic medical record system Comfortable with MS Office Suite and windows-based applications About SouthLight Healthcare Tap into your passion at SouthLight Healthcare.
