This includes, supervising and interacting with parents and program members during the visit and providing transportation as necessary. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have High School Diploma or GED. Two years experience working with children and families. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain complete and accurate records. Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. Ability to manage crisis situations. Ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Must have good time management, be time oriented and able to multi-task. Must be detail oriented with the ability to discern discrepancies. Knowledge of the theories of early child growth and development. Valid driver's license three points or less and ability to meet transportation needs of agency. Must complete a defensive driving course as sanctioned by the Nebraska Safety Council or similar agency. Have and maintain agency required amount of automobile full coverage insurance. Acquire and maintain certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Major Responsibilities Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with foster children and families to provide a therapeutic environment that is conducive to a successful visit between the foster children and parents. Coordinate times, locations and dates of supervised visits. Provide transportation when necessary to and from visits. Supervise and interact with members during visits. Provide written documentation to report events and conversations at visits. Be on time for visits and transportation. Call In-Home Services Coordinator if unable to supervise a visit as soon as possible. Attend family team meetings and actively participate with the family team.
