Enrollment Specialist Community Outreach Lead Position Summary The Enrollment Specialist Community Outreach Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing districtwide community-based enrollment and registration outreach efforts while supporting school-level enrollment coordination and student placement processes. This role ensures that enrollment opportunities are accessible, visible, and responsive to the needs of families by bringing registration and enrollment services directly into the community while also supporting alignment between centralized enrollment operations and district schools. The Community Outreach Lead serves as the primary driver of enrollment engagement efforts, coordinating outreach events, building community partnerships, supporting school placement coordination, and assisting families through the enrollment and assignment process. This role works closely with principals, school leadership teams, district departments, and community organizations to ensure enrollment processes support district priorities, school capacity, operational planning, and family access. This position plays a critical role in achieving district enrollment targets, strengthening relationships with schools and the community, and ensuring families receive timely and responsive enrollment support. This position requires a high level of flexibility and commitment to working evenings, weekends, community-based events, and responding to district enrollment needs in real time.Certification Requirements Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status A valid driver's license or state issued ID, valid insurance and registration Preferred /Additional Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in education, public administration, communications, social services, or related field Bilingual proficiency preferredQualifications Minimum:
Three (3) years of experience in community outreach, enrollment, customer service, or related field Demonstrated ability to: Plan and coordinate events and outreach initiatives Work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders Communicate clearly and build relationships Strong organizational and coordination skills Experience working in schools, community organizations, or public service settings preferred A valid driver's license as well as current insurance and vehicle with valid registration Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status Ability to: Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Travel throughout the district and community Core Responsibilities Community-Based Enrollment Outreach Lead the planning and execution of community-based enrollment and registration efforts. Organize and coordinate enrollment events in community locations Ensure families have access to registration support outside of traditional hours Represent the district at community events and outreach initiatives Develop strategies to increase enrollment and awareness Enrollment Event Coordination Manage logistics and execution of district enrollment events. Plan event schedules, locations, and staffing Coordinate materials, technology, and registration tools Ensure events are organized, accessible, and welcoming Monitor participation and outcomes of events Family Engagement and Support Provide direct support to families during outreach, enrollment, and placement activities. Assist families with registration and documentation Answer questions and provide guidance on enrollment and placement processes Communicate school assignment and enrollment information clearly and professionally Address barriers to enrollment and provide solutions Ensure a positive and supportive experience for families School-Based Enrollment Coordination Serve as a liaison between schools and centralized enrollment operations. Coordinate student enrollment and placement with school staff Communicate enrollment updates and changes to schools Support schools in managing enrollment-related processes Assist schools with enrollment adjustments and placement needs Coordinate with principals and school leadership teams regarding enrollment concerns Student Placement and Enrollment Monitoring Support accurate and strategic student placement processes. Assist with student assignments based on district policies, school capacity, and program availability Support enrollment transfers, withdrawals, and placement adjustments Monitor enrollment trends, changes, and school capacity needs Maintain clear documentation related to student placement and enrollment decisions Assist in resolving enrollment and placement issues Data Collection and Reporting Track and report on outreach and enrollment efforts. Monitor participation in events and outreach activities Track enrollment leads and outcomes Provide data and feedback to the Director of Enrollment Strategy & Forecasting Support continuous improvement of outreach strategies Alignment with Enrollment Strategy (NES Integration) Ensure outreach efforts align with district enrollment goals and targets. Support implementation of enrollment strategies Focus outreach on priority schools, programs, or communities Collaborate with Data and Enrollment teams Flexibility and Community Presence Maintain a visible and responsive presence in the community. Work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours as needed Attend community events and meetings Ensure district accessibility to families beyond standard office hours Compliance and Documentation Ensure all outreach and enrollment activities comply with district policies. Maintain accurate documentation of enrollment interactions Follow procedures for student registration and data entry Ensure confidentiality and data integrity Other Duties Perform such other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee in accordance with law and regulation.Workflow and Operating Expectations Daily:

Candidates must already reside in New Jersey or establish residency within the required timeframe after hire. Current employees who were hired on or before September 1, 2011 are exempt from this requirement and may continue to reside outside the state.
