The Accounts Payable Bookkeeper- Level 2 is responsible for timeliness and accuracy of the accounts payable records and systems. Job Summary The Consumer Entitlement Specialist is responsible for the financial reporting and routine administration of accounting policies and procedures as they relate to the agency's financial activities. Monday - Friday 8:00a-4:00p Duties and Responsibilities Connotes essential functions Work closely with various Government Agencies (Social Security, Medicaid, OPWDD, Veterans Administration, etc.) to ensure continuous benefits eligibility IGHL residents Complete Medicaid and SNAP applications, and re-certifications/renewals Report changes in living arrangements, wages, and confirm changes in Medicaid budgets Follow up with the accounting department and Medicaid to ensure excess income is handled and reported correctly Assist with Social Security lump sums and investigate overpayments Maintain all required documentation for IGHL's pooled trust Work with Program Staff to help with eligibility and budgeting questions, maintain insurance records, and offer support to maintain eligibility status Responsible for reviewing Medicaid NOD's and budgets and taking corrective action if necessary Follow up with Social Security regarding all disability applications and updates Complete all Social Security re-determinations as necessary All other duties as assigned Position Requirements and Qualifications BA or BS in related field 1-2 years of ID/DD or related social service experience 1-2 years of benefits and entitlement experience Ability to work as part of a team and independently Proficient in Microsoft Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid NYS Driver's License Ability to lift 50 poundsJob Type:
