Job Description

Norwood City School District has an opening for a Intervention Specialist in a specialized classroom. New grads are encouraged to apply! The specialized classroom will consist of up to 8 students with multiple disabilities, including autism and intellectual disabilities, with support from student assistant aides and related service personnel in a nurturing environment. Applicants with a Moderate-Intensive license are preferred but all applicants that are licensed Intervention Specialists will be considered. Experience in a specialized classroom is a plus. Norwood has historic neighborhood schools in a great community with supportive families, bright students and small class sizes. NCSD offers a great benefit package which includes Anthem BC/BS health insurance (80% District paid), free Delta Dental insurance, Section 125 plan (FSA card with a $400 contribution from the district each school year), District paid $50,000 life insurance policy, an attendance incentive ($250 per quarter with an additional $250 if employee has perfect attendance all year) and tuition reimbursement (up to 6 semester hours per year reimbursed at 50%).
