Summary The Bilingual Outreach Specialist implements activities to recruit and engage pregnant individuals and families with young children including those with developmental delays and disabilities for the Help Me Grow system of supports. The Bilingual Outreach Specialist assists with organizing events, developing and maintaining relationships with individuals and organizations across the Northeast Region of Ohio, presenting to referral sources and community stakeholders, and shares information and resources with families. Serves English and Spanish-speaking families and agency leaders and provides information in both Spanish and/or English as needed. Experience Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities) 1. Speaks and writes fluently in Spanish and English. 2. Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, public speaking, or customer service. 3. Basic skill level in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. word processing, electronic spreadsheets, and presentation software), email applications, and internet usage. Intermediate skill level preferred. 4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate judgment in handling information and records. 5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments. 6. Ability to organize, establish and maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system and office procedures. 7. Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing. 8. Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public, staff and patrons. 9. Ability to work independently with general direction. 10. Ability to meet monthly, quarterly, or annual outreach goals. Education/License Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred. Valid Ohio Driver's License and appropriate insurance coverage.
