Job Description

Overview Central Enrollment/Child Accounting Specialist District Office The Ephrata Area School District is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Central Enrollment/Child Accounting Specialist who will provide child accounting, enrollment, data management, and accounts receivable support services for the district by maintaining accurate student records, coordinating enrollment processes, supporting state reporting requirements, and delivering responsive service to students, families, staff, and community stakeholders while ensuring compliance with District, state, and federal requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and technology skills and thrive in a fast-paced office environment requiring accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent customer service. Student Enrollment and Child Accounting Data Management and Administrative Support Student in Placements McKinney-Vento Financial and Residency Responsibilities Communication and Customer Service Qualifications Education High School Diploma required Experience Two to five years of experience in a high-volume office environment preferred Experience working independently with strong attention to detail Language Skills Strong knowledge in oral and written English Language. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are helpful Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access Experience with data processing systems and student information systems preferred Additional Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and community members Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and perform frequent computer work Occasional walking, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 20 pounds Ability to distinguish sounds such as bells, buzzers, and alarms Occasional travel within the District may be required Work Schedule & Compensation Twelve-month position Salary and work hours in accordance with the current education support staff schedule
WORKPLACE EXPECTATIONS
Must demonstrate regular and punctual attendance. Must interact positively with administration, students, staff, parents, and community members. Must demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior & speech and dress in a neat, clean, and professional manner. Must follow all District policies, work procedures and reasonable requests by proper authority. Must maintain the integrity of confidential information within the Business Office. Follow established protocols as outlined in Student/Faculty/Support Staff handbook
Other Requirements:
Applicants must also possess the following criminal clearances obtained within the last 12 months: Act 34
  • PA Criminal Record; Act 114
  • FBI Background Check; Act 151
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance.
The Ephrata Area School District also requires a pre-employment drug test, physical, and TB test upon offer of employment as directed by PDE and the PA Department of Health.
