Job Description

Category Assistive Technology Specialist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as both an Assistive Technology Specialist and Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) in the greater Pflugerville area. In this multifaceted role, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure students with learning differences benefit from tailored interventions that foster success in the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Certification or licensure as an LDTC or eligibility to obtain Background in assistive technology, including selection, assessment, and implementation Experience conducting evaluations and creating reports for students with learning disabilities Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and current educational best practices Familiarity with educational technology tools and accessibility features for a range of disabilities Excellent communication and consultation skills with students, educators, and parents
Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine learning needs and recommend appropriate assistive technology supports Administer, score, and interpret formal and informal assessments; write clear, detailed evaluation reports Work closely with IEP and multidisciplinary teams to develop and review educational plans Provide training and ongoing support to staff and families on the use of assistive technology devices and software Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to maximize learning outcomes Stay current on the latest advances in instructional strategies and assistive technology Enjoy the flexibility of contract work with the potential to make a meaningful impact for students and school teams.
