We are seeking a passionate, professional Enrollment Specialist to join our Admissions team and guide prospective students through the enrollment process for Wheeling University Online programs. Position Summary The Enrollment Specialist (Admissions Representative) plays a critical role in recruiting and supporting prospective students. This position is responsible for building relationships, conducting admissions interviews, presenting program information ethically, and supporting students from inquiry through enrollment and beyond. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, personable, and motivated by helping students make informed decisions about their education. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Enter and manage prospective student leads in the Verity Student Information System Conduct heavy outbound outreach to company-generated and self-generated inquiries Perform telephone interviews with prospective students Assess student needs, interests, and qualifications to support informed enrollment decisions Present academic programs, tuition, and policies accurately and ethically Complete enrollment documentation and assist students with orientation Maintain ongoing contact with enrolled students to support retention and successful graduation Uphold all university policies, procedures, and ethical standards Attend initial and weekly training sessions covering admissions skills, retention strategies, compliance, and regulatory requirements Serve as a liaison between students and internal university departments Participate in university-sponsored events and activities Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or a related field (
