Executive Assistant-Bookkeeper-PART TIME VA-Affiliated Nonprofit Organization We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), supporting clinical research and programs that serve our nation's Veterans. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Executive Assistant with strong accounting expertise to support the Executive Director. This role requires professionalism, discretion, financial precision, and the ability to operate effectively in a federally affiliated environment. Position Overview The Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner to the executive director while also managing core accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate thrives in structured, compliance-driven settings and understands the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability in handling federal and grant-related funds. Key Responsibilities Accounting entries and reconciliations (QuickBooks) Check writing and distribution Coordination of bank deposits Creation of timesheets and other spreadsheets (EXCEL) Management/reconciling of leave and payroll Attendance at Board meetings and composition of minutes (WORD) Assistance with annual audits (GAAP) Paper/electronic records management and documentation.
