Job Description
Description The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Department under the supervision of the City Manager. Examples of Duties Performs a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the City Manager such as answering phones, typing, research, and filing Schedules, maintains, and updates appointments and/or calendar(s) on a daily basis Maintains confidentiality when exposed to sensitive material and information Knowledge of the City's facilities, functions, and programs so appropriate information can be relayed accurately via phone, email, written correspondence, or in person Assists with the publication of brochures, calendars, letters, posters, news releases, flyers and related communications relevant to a particular program or special event as needed Establishes a positive working relationship with all City departments Performs a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the Executive Department such as answering phones, typing, research, and filing Works effectively with outside agencies and responds to requests as appropriate Works effectively with the City Commissioners; responds to their inquiries and requests as needed; offers administrative support as needed Assists the City Clerk, as needed, with the execution of documents and contracts approved by the City Commission Typical Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or higher preferred Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) is preferred Three-to-five (3-5) years of administrative experience in an office environment
