Chief Financial Officer Location:
San Francisco, CA A day in the life As the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer, you will provide high-level administrative and coordination support that helps the CFO manage priorities across the finance organization. You will serve as a trusted partner and key point of coordination across finance, executive leadership, and internal and external stakeholders. This role supports the CFO by managing schedules, communications, materials, meetings, travel, follow-through, and special projects with discretion and sound judgment. You will help improve day-to-day operating efficiency by anticipating needs, organizing information, and using technology and automation tools to streamline routine workflows. Key Responsibilities Serve as a trusted executive partner and extension of the CFO, providing proactive, high-level administrative and operational support that enables the CFO to focus on the company's highest-priority financial, strategic, and business objectives. Strategically manage the CFO's complex and dynamic calendar, including prioritizing meetings, resolving schedule conflicts, anticipating preparation needs, and ensuring alignment with Finance, executive leadership, Board, investor, and enterprise business priorities. Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries, logistics, meeting coordination, transportation, accommodations, and timely expense reporting, ensuring a seamless executive experience for CFO and his direct reports. Prepare, refine, and manage executive-level presentations, reports, agendas, correspondence, briefing materials, and other documents for Finance leadership meetings, business reviews, Board preparation, investor-related meetings, and external stakeholder engagements. Support the operating rhythm of the CFO's office by planning and facilitating Finance and leadership meetings, coordinating logistics, preparing materials, capturing key discussion points, tracking decisions, and driving follow-up on action items to ensure accountability and execution. Serve as a polished and professional liaison between the CFO and key internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, Board members, investors, auditors, banking partners, external advisors, Finance leaders, and cross-functional business partners. Handle highly confidential financial, business, organizational, personnel, and strategic information with the highest degree of discretion, sound judgment, professionalism, and appropriate escalation. Anticipate needs, identify potential issues, independently resolve or route matters appropriately, and help ensure the CFO is prepared, informed, and positioned for effective decision-making. Support special projects, Finance leadership offsites, executive events, communications, administrative systems, process improvements, and workflow optimization on behalf of the CFO and Finance leadership team. Partner closely with other executive assistants and administrative teams to ensure alignment, coordination, and consistency across the senior leadership team. Building Blocks for Success Required 5+ years of experience providing high-level administrative or executive support to senior executives. Demonstrated experience supporting complex executive calendars, travel, expense reporting, meeting logistics, executive communications, and administrative workflows in a fast-paced environment. Experience preparing, editing, and refining executive-level presentations, reports, agendas, correspondence, briefing materials, and meeting materials with a high degree of accuracy and polish. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and related productivity platforms. Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive financial, business, organizational, and executive-level information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism. Strong business judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities, shifting deadlines, and high-volume requests with urgency, accuracy, composure, and follow-through. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence and professionalism to interact effectively with senior leaders, Board members, external stakeholders, and cross-functional partners. Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, take ownership from start to finish, escalate appropriately, and ensure decisions and action items are followed through to completion. Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and solutions-focused, with a demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a confidential, fast-paced, and executive-level environment. Demonstrated flexibility and availability to support the CFO outside of standard business hours, as business needs require, including time-sensitive calendar changes, travel disruptions, executive communications, Board, investor, or leadership-related matters, and coordination across global time zones. Preferred Prior experience supporting a CFO, Finance executive, C-suite leader, or public company executive. Experience supporting a Finance organization, global matrixed organization, Board meetings, investor meetings, earnings preparation, audit-related meetings, or executive leadership forums. Experience supporting executive operating rhythms, leadership meeting cadences, offsites, business reviews, or cross-functional governance processes. Experience working collaboratively with other executive assistants or administrative teams supporting senior leadership. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, accuracy, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, accountability, discretion, and ownership in support of executive priorities and business outcomes.
Hiring Hourly Range of:
$52.88 - $67.31. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
