Job Description:
A highly regarded independent school in the Greater Boston area is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Head of School. This newly created role offers the opportunity to provide high-level administrative and operational support within a dynamic, mission-driven environment. The Executive Assistant will serve as a trusted partner to the Head of School, playing a key role in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, clear and effective communication, and strong coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders. This position will also take ownership of donor relations!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a complex and evolving executive calendar, prioritizing meetings and commitments with discretion
  • Draft, edit, and manage professional correspondence and email communications on behalf of the Head of School
  • Coordinate follow-ups and ensure timely communication across key initiatives
  • Arrange travel logistics and itineraries
  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and supporting documents for meetings and engagements
  • Partner closely with the development and donor relations team to support donor stewardship and acknowledgment efforts
  • Provide backup support for board meeting coordination, including materials and documentation as needed
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative operations of the Head of School's office
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting senior-level leadership
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced education environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience in education, nonprofit, or independent school settings strongly preferred
  • Experience with Blackbaud and/or Raiser's Edge is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism
