This is a high-responsibility role within a fast-paced practice handling litigation, immigration, family law, personal injury, and other civil matters. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, professional, dependable, and capable of helping maintain operational structure across a dynamic legal practice. This role is intended for someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced law firm environment, can manage multiple moving priorities, follows through without constant reminders, and understands the importance of urgency, organization, and professionalism in legal practice.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Draft, review, proofread, and edit legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Assist attorney with legal administrative tasks including data entry, filing, document review, and transcription to streamline case workflows. Managing attorney calendar, scheduling, deadlines, and follow-up Following up on meetings, court events, and case-related tasks Maintaining organized case management systems and workflow tracking Managing client communication, intake coordination, and follow-up Assisting with document collection and organization Maintaining and updating Clio and related office systems Coordinating with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel when necessary Assisting with litigation workflow and administrative support Helping maintain overall operational organization within the firm Monitoring task completion and proactively following through on outstanding items
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of prior law firm experience required Prior experience in law firm environments required Strong written and verbal English communication skills required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required Ability to prioritize and manage multiple moving tasks efficiently required Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities required Strong follow-through and responsiveness required Professional client-facing communication skills required Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment required Tech comfortable and able to quickly learn and use legal software systems required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Clio, Motion, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar systems Experience supporting litigation workflow and case management Experience working in a solo or small-firm legal environment The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, proactive, professional, and capable of helping maintain smooth day-to-day operations within a growing law firm environment. This position is fully in-person in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
