Job Description
About us Veteran Compost is a small business in Aberdeen, MD. Our goal is to make the world a better place by collecting and composting food scraps!.
Our work environment includes:

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who believes in teamwork and has the ability to work without the need for micro-management.Duties:
- Answer and screen phone calls, take messages, and handle inquiries in a professional manner.
- Prepare and proofread documents, reports, and presentations.
- Transcribe meeting minutes and maintain accurate records.
- Manage email correspondence and prioritize incoming messages.
- Coordinate and organize meetings, conferences, and events.
- Assist with customer service inquiries and provide excellent service to clients.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
- Perform front desk duties such as receiving and distributing mail, ordering office supplies, and maintaining a clean reception area.
- File and organize documents both electronically and physically.
- Utilize Google Suite applications for document creation, collaboration, and organization.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as data entry, scanning, and photocopying.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Use Quickbooks for invoicing and running reports
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple lines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of proofreading techniques to ensure error-free documents.
- Proficiency in using Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for document creation and collaboration.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
