About us Veteran Compost is a small business in Aberdeen, MD. Our goal is to make the world a better place by collecting and composting food scraps!.
Our work environment includes:
Growth opportunities Casual work attire Relaxed atmosphere We are a growing small business that's helping save the planet! We have a great team and are looking to add another person to help us out. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who believes in teamwork and has the ability to work without the need for micro-management.
Duties:
  • Answer and screen phone calls, take messages, and handle inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Prepare and proofread documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Transcribe meeting minutes and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage email correspondence and prioritize incoming messages.
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Assist with customer service inquiries and provide excellent service to clients.
  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Perform front desk duties such as receiving and distributing mail, ordering office supplies, and maintaining a clean reception area.
  • File and organize documents both electronically and physically.
  • Utilize Google Suite applications for document creation, collaboration, and organization.
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as data entry, scanning, and photocopying.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Use Quickbooks for invoicing and running reports
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
  • Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple lines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of proofreading techniques to ensure error-free documents.
  • Proficiency in using Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for document creation and collaboration.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
