  • Full-time My small immigration law office is seeking a bilingual (Spanish) executive assistant to support me with handling immigration cases with USCIS, the NVC, and EOIR.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the attorney and clients, manage diverse case files, and contribute to impactful immigration outcomes. I am looking for someone who can not only manage immigration cases and clients, but can be an executive level assistant for me and make sure the entire office runs smoothly. You would work alongside a receptionist/administrative assistant who handles the day-to-day administrative functions of the office, leaving the higher-level tasks to you. Assist attorney with preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents with government agencies. Manage case files efficiently within legal case management systems, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Review and organize legal documents related to immigration law, including affidavits, evidence packets, and correspondence. Coordinate client interviews and gather necessary information through effective interviewing techniques while maintaining confidentiality. Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision, proofreading for accuracy and clarity. Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, document review, and maintaining organized records in compliance with legal standards. Collaborate with team members on project management initiatives related to immigration cases and deadlines. Provide excellent clerical support including phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing communication flow within the law office. Spanish fluency is required to be successful in this position. Prior experience in immigration law is preferred, but not required. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with experience using document management systems like CampLegal, Docketwise, MyCase, or similar platforms is preferred. Experience working within a law office environment is preferred. Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to perform thorough proofreading and transcription tasks accurately. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and paperless filing systems.
