About CIANA:
Established in 2006, the Center for the Integration & Advancement of New Americans (CIANA), is a small immigrant-serving CBO located in Astoria (Queens) that seeks to successfully integrate new immigrants into American society. The CEO is looking for a flexible, hands-on, highly organized person, with excellent communication skills and administrative experience, who can multi-task and work under pressure, to act as the point person between programs, staff, volunteers, and day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
College degree and work experience, preferably in social services or nonprofits; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of staff and management; Strong program/project coordination, office management skills, and ability to work under pressure; Experience with database management systems and fundraising software; Fundraising/grant writing experience a plus
Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support to the CEO; Assist with grant writing, fundraising campaigns, program management and reporting; Ensure program compliance, manage client data and statistical reporting, ensure timely record-keeping, and maintain communication across programs; Maintain and update contact lists, donor information, and community resources; Communicate with community partners and public officials, and attend community events/meetings Recruit personnel, maintain personnel records, manage office site, and perform other tasks as assigned.
