Job Overview The Assistant Executive Director is a management position overseeing compliance activities, policy development and implementation, and re-licensing for all service programs. The position works alongside most departments in some capacity and is expected to collaborate and work effectively with all departments. The AED reports to the Owner. Responsibilities Master and implement company policies and procedures and Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) for in home care (via Oregon Health Authority) and Medicaid agencies (via the Office of Developmental Disability Services). Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, including planning, evaluation, and submission of required reports. Provide strategic leadership in policy, advocacy, and systems changes. Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, policymakers, and community organizations. Represent HDE in public forums, committees, and coalitions while advancing its mission and priorities. Supervise HR & Compliance Specialists who perform tasks in a variety of areas under the scope of the AED. Lead Quality Improvement (QI) meetings, develop QI activities, and monitor/train for their effectiveness. In the absence of the Owner, act as the designated Administrator for HDE's in home care license, and as the Executive Director for HDE's Medicaid Agency license. Infrequently, be available outside of regular business hours to respond to urgent calls from employees seeking assistance. Requirements 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in intellectual or developmental disabilities, mental health, rehabilitation, social services, or a related field. 2 years of experience in the identified roles and a degree in a closely-related field may be substituted for the experience requirement. Preferred Experience in licensing and policy management, as a director of services, or compliance manager. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal policy impacting the I/DD community, with experience in systems advocacy, legislative engagement, and coalition-building.
Pay:
$84,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
