Job Description
South Umpqua School District is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Student Services Secretary / Executive Administrative Assistant to join our district.
Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Superintendent, Student Services Coordinator, and Facilities Manager to ensure the efficient operation of district programs, services, and facilities. This position serves as a primary point of contact for staff, families, community members, and local and state agencies, acting as a liaison on behalf of district leadership.
Under minimal supervision, the Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of complex, confidential, and responsible for secretarial, clerical, and administrative duties. Responsibilities include managing communications, coordinating schedules and meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, maintaining records, supporting district operations, and assisting with facilities-related functions. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion in handling confidential information, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Three years' work experience providing executive administrative support and services, preferably in a public-school environment.
Experience with student information systems, preferably in an Oregon school district setting.
Knowledge of school policies, procedures, laws, and regulations applicable to public education and student services.
A thorough working knowledge of office practices and procedures is required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, and make effective decisions while managing daily office operations, competing priorities, and emergency or unusual situations.
Salary Range:
$22.54-$31.21 (Depending on experience)
