Job Description
Milliken Corporation is seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant to support the Owner in both professional and occasional personal matters. This is a part-time role with the clear expectation that it will grow into a full-time position as the need expands. The right person must be willing and available to make that transition when the time comes. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, trustworthy, resourceful, and comfortable acting on behalf of a busy business owner. You will help keep communication, scheduling, follow-up, records, research, tracking, and day-to-day priorities moving smoothly. Responsibilities Manage appointment scheduling and calendar coordination. Research topics, vendors, opportunities, contacts, travel options, and other needs as assigned. Track, log, and organize information, tasks, notes, contacts, and follow-ups. Draft, send, and manage emails on behalf of the Owner. Write, prepare, mail, and track cards, thank-you notes, gifts, and personal touches. Help manage the Owner's professional and personal social media presence by keeping accounts active, engaging appropriately, and posting or responding on his behalf as directed. Coordinate travel plans, reservations, appointments, and related details. Assist with occasional personal tasks, errands, or scheduling needs as they arise. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Anticipate needs, follow through, and help create order around a fast-moving schedule. Living in Sumner County (or within 30 minutes of our office in Bethpage) required. The Right Fit The ideal candidate is someone who can be trusted with sensitive information, communicates clearly, and takes ownership without needing constant direction. This person should be comfortable with both professional business support and occasional personal assistance. They should be flexible, dependable, and willing to grow with the role as responsibilities increase. Requirements Strong organization and follow-up skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Comfortable writing emails, notes, and social media content. Able to represent the Owner professionally and thoughtfully. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities. High level of discretion and confidentiality. Willingness and availability to grow from part-time into full-time. Reliable transportation may be needed for occasional errands or local tasks. Quiet, distraction-free home work environment. Reliable transportation for errands. Must be willing to train in person, meet weekly for brainstorm sessions, and the rest will be remote. Schedule And Compensation This position will begin part-time at $24 per hour . As the role grows into a full-time position, compensation will move to $52,000 annually plus benefits . Position Type Part-time to full-time growth opportunity. The expectation is that this role will become full-time, so applicants must be available and willing to step into that expanded role when the company's needs require it.
