Job Description

Ford Steel, LLC is seeking a seasoned, highly organized Executive Assistant to the General Manager to serve as a trusted partner in providing executive-level administrative, operational, and project support within a dynamic structural steel fabrication and distribution environment. This role requires proven industry experience, strong technical and analytical aptitude, and the ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the General Manager, providing executive-level administrative and operational support in a fast-paced structural steel environment. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across operations, sales, vendors, and customers to ensure alignment and timely execution. Support project oversight, scheduling, and workflow optimization within structural steel operations. Analyze data and prepare advanced spreadsheets, dashboards, and other materials using Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Maintain, safeguard, and manage highly confidential contracts, records, and documentation. Lead or support high-impact special projects and continuous improvement initiatives on behalf of the General Manager.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of structural steel operations and terminology Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven track record of efficiently handling multiple projects and priorities. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining a collaborative and team-oriented approach. Deep understanding of office administration practices, clerical processes, and recordkeeping systems. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and quick to learn new tools and technologies as needed. High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the structural steel industry (fabrication, detailing, estimating, operations, or related field required) Minimum 5 years of executive or senior administrative support experience Bachelor's degreeor equivalent years of experience.
Preferred fields of study:
Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical discipline Spanish bilingual preferred, but not required
