POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Secretary serves as the full-time personal administrative and operational assistant to the Executive Pastor (XP) of Friendly Baptist Church. This role is designed for a high-capacity, self-starting professional who thrives in a detail-intensive environment where personal initiative and task orientation are a must. Through administrative mastery, proactive organization, and anticipatory support the Executive Secretary will enable the XP to maximize his leadership effectiveness. This individual must be driven by excellence, take initiative without supervision, pursue ongoing learning, think innovatively about logistical systems, and demonstrate unwavering loyalty to the mission of Friendly Baptist Church. Active church membership, including participation on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, is a necessary function of this position.

IMPORTANT PROFICIENCIES CONSIDERED
The ideal candidate will articulate well-versed familiarity, experience, and/or training in the technology-based toolsets necessary to conduct the business of the church. Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Constant Contact or other CRM technology (MailChimp, etc.) Canva cloud-based graphics designing Google Workspace, particular emphasis given to Gmail, Calendar, and Drive Subsplash or other website building platforms (Cloversites, Wix, Squarespace, etc.) Realm or other membership management database (Breeze, Planning Center, MS Access etc.) The ideal candidate will evidence expertise in the following areas of key responsibility: Effectiveness across all social media platforms (including FB, Insta, and YouTube) High capacity for working through computer technology issues, troubleshooting, and communicating with IT professionals Polite tenacity and management capacity in directing contractors and vendors Expertise in appointment and activities calendaring; logistical organization skills Experience in Access Control Systems, operating software from a centralized computer to manage card readers, telephone entry mechanisms, and HVAC (WinDSX, Niagara) Phone operation skills; VOIP familiarity This is a rewarding but not undemanding job in the world of religious NPOs, specifically as a member of a church staff. Church-staff membership also requires church membership. You will have an opportunity to be a part of something bigger than yourself, engage in weekday administrative experiences, and also see the fruit of those experiences on Sundays.
