Executive Assistant Sparks Group - 4.0 Alexandria, VA Job Details Contract 20 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Executive administrative support Full Job Description Sparks Group has partnered with a local government entity who is need of a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to provide direct support to a Department Director within a large and fast-paced environment. This role requires a polished professional who can effectively manage executive-level priorities, maintain confidentiality, and serve as a key liaison between leadership, executive staff, and departmental teams. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally responsive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while exercising sound judgment and initiative in a complex organizational setting. This is a 6-month contract and 100% on site. Apply for immediate consideration. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the Director's calendar, including scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and prioritizing competing demands Provide administrative and operational support to the Director and executive leadership team Follow up with executive staff and department leaders on outstanding items, action plans, and deadlines Serve as a liaison between the department and the City Manager's Office, including coordination with executive administrative staff Assist with special projects, reports, presentations, and assignments as directed by the Director Prepare correspondence, meeting materials, agendas, and other executive-level documentation Coordinate meetings and events, including logistics, scheduling, and follow-through on action items Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion Support communication and collaboration across all levels of the department Anticipate executive needs and proactively identify solutions to improve efficiency and organization Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of Executive Assistant or high-level administrative support experience required Experience supporting senior executives, department heads, or leadership teams in a complex organization preferred Prior local government, municipal, or public sector experience is a plus Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership and staff at all levels Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - This job is In-Person.
