Job Description

The Family Foundation of Virginia is a non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to equipping citizens throughout our Commonwealth to advocate for policies-at both the state and local level-that reflect biblical principles and help families thrive. Position Summary The Executive Assistant serves as the operational right hand to the VP of Grassroots & Communications Strategies. This role keeps statewide events, advocacy efforts, and member engagement running smoothly—turning vision into executed events, sent emails, stocked supplies, and an online presence that mobilizes Virginians around the issues that matter.
Responsibilities:
Executive Support to the VP. Manage the VP's calendar which includes coordinating travel and grassroots meetings to keep the VP focused on high-impact priorities. Prepare materials for meetings, take notes, and track follow-ups. Handle correspondence and screen incoming requests. Anticipate needs, flag conflicts before they arise, and provide discreet support on confidential matters. Events & Logistics. Managing the logistics of rallies, press conferences, and Capitol action days—can managing materials, handouts, food, and supplies, and logistics necessary to equip and mobilize Speak Up! teams for action (such as bus mobilization during the Virginia March for Life). Communications Support. As needed, develop and post social media content and basic maintenance of promotional assets across social/web platforms for all Speak Up! teams. Support scheduling email campaigns tied to grassroots mobilization and engagement. Online Resource Development. Support the team developing online resources through research, graphics, promotion, and back-end podcast support. Department Operations. Keep day-to-day operations running smoothly—ordering supplies, maintaining department organization, communicating with contractors and vendors, managing Google Workspace and Charity Engine database entries as requested, and other operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of administrative, communications, or event coordination experience. Self-starter aligned with The Family Foundation's mission and values. Strong organizational skills Sharp written communication
Technology Skill Requirements:
Google Workspace, CRM comfortability, email tools, and social media platforms.
Work Environment:
Pleasant, professional office in downtown Richmond, two blocks from the Capitol.
