We operate in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment where every team member plays a vital role in our clients' success. We are currently seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive File Clerk to join our team and help keep our office running smoothly. ​Job Summary ​As a File Clerk, you will be the backbone of our document management system. You will handle the vital daily flow of legal correspondence, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing mail is processed accurately and efficiently. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organized, possesses sharp attention to detail, and thrives on meeting daily deadlines. ​Key Responsibilities ​
Incoming Mail Management:
Open, sort, and organize all incoming physical mail daily. ​
Document Identification:
Review and identify time-sensitive legal documents (such as hearing notices, medical reports, and court orders) and route them immediately to the appropriate team members. ​
Digital Archiving:
Scan physical documents with high accuracy and upload them into our digital case management system. ​
Data Entry:
Update client files and electronic records with precision, ensuring all data matches the scanned documentation. ​
Outgoing Mail Operations:
Prepare, weigh, and stamp all outgoing mail. ​
Daily Mail Drop-off:
Ensure all outgoing mail is physically dropped off at the designated mail receptacle daily. ​
Office Organization:
Maintain physical file room and assist with general administrative tasks as needed. ​Qualifications & Skills ​
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in an office environment, administrative role, or law firm is a plus (but we are willing to train the right person!). Must be fluent in English and Spanish. ​Attention to
Detail:
Sharp eye for accuracy, especially when identifying legal deadlines and entering data. ​
Tech Savvy:
Comfortable using scanners, computers, and basic office software (experience with legal case management software is a bonus). ​
Reliability:
Strong time-management skills and the ability to complete daily independent tasks (like the evening mail drop) without constant supervision. ​
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift standard file boxes (up to 20 lbs).

From $19.00 per hour
