Job Description

Overview Preferred is a family-owned interpreting agency and vocational rehabilitation center specializing in workers' compensation and personal injury. At Preferred, we pride ourselves on providing a one-of-a-kind work environment that believes in integrity, growth, and passion. Join our dynamic team with room for upward growth. Duties Create and assemble new paper files and Pendaflex folders for incoming cases and clients Maintain and organize an accurate, up-to-date physical filing system across multiple departments File documents, correspondence, and records in their correct location in a timely manner Audit and verify filing accuracy, correcting misfiled or missing documents as needed Scan incoming documents and correspondence into the company network Ensure scanned files are saved accurately under the correct file name, folder, and location Perform quality checks on scanned documents to ensure legibility and completeness Match pay stubs and payment records to the corresponding client file Verify all required documents are present before closing a file Process and archive closed files according to office procedures Float between multiple departments to support filing and organizational needs Coordinate with staff across departments to ensure filing systems remain current and consistent Communicate effectively with team members regarding missing documents, filing discrepancies, or urgent requests Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to multitask and manage priorities across departments Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Basic computer proficiency; experience with document scanning software a plus Prior experience in a legal, medical, or office environment preferred
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
