Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Become a part of our caring community The Medical Records Clerk assembles, organized and manages patients' health information and charts. You will perform basic administrative, operational, customer support, and data-entry tasks, primarily working on routine, structured assignments. You will report to the Center Administrator.
Job Functions:
- Ensure all medical forms are identified, completed, and signed
- Enter required patient information into the electronic records system
- Communicate with physicians and staff to clarify diagnoses or obtain additional information
- Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Operate within defined work expectations, quality standards, and priorities, under close supervision and established guidelines
