About the
Role:
The Part Time Filing Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization and accessibility of company records and documents. This position ensures that all files are accurately categorized, stored, and easily retrievable to support efficient business operations. The role requires attention to detail and consistency to uphold the integrity of filing systems, whether physical or digital. By managing the filing process, the clerk helps reduce delays in information retrieval and supports compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Ultimately, this position contributes to the smooth functioning of administrative workflows and supports various departments by providing timely access to necessary documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with file management software or systems. Ability to handle repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems to ensure documents are stored systematically and can be retrieved quickly. Sort, label, and file incoming documents according to established procedures and classification systems. Retrieve files and documents promptly upon request from staff or management. Conduct regular audits of filing systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of records. Assist in digitizing paper documents and updating electronic filing databases as needed. Dispose of outdated or unnecessary files in accordance with company retention policies and confidentiality standards. Collaborate with administrative and other departments to support document management needs.
