Job Description

Medical Records File Clerk We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Records File Clerk to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and supporting the efficient operation of our medical facility. Key Responsibilities:
Organize, file, and retrieve patient medical records in accordance with established procedures Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations Assist with scanning, indexing, and digitizing paper records as needed Support administrative staff by providing requested records promptly and accurately Conduct regular audits to verify the integrity and completeness of medical records Follow proper procedures for record disposal and retention in accordance with legal and organizational policies
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Medical Records File Clerk or in a similar role within a healthcare setting Knowledge of medical record-keeping procedures and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) Strong organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and office software Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical records management is a plus Join our dedicated healthcare team where your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to providing excellent patient care.
