Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining organized and efficient filing systems, both digital and physical, while supporting administrative processes. This position is ideal for someone with clerical experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain filing systems for both digital and paper documents.
- Process and file legal and administrative paperwork using designated internal systems.
- Stamp, route, and track incoming and outgoing mail as part of daily operations.
- Perform accurate data entry to document filing and mail records.
- Support the office with general administrative tasks as needed.
- Scan and digitize physical documents to ensure easy access and secure storage.
- Handle file boxes and related materials to ensure proper organization.
- Assist with e-filing processes and ensure documents are correctly categorized. Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Prior experience in clerical work, including data entry and filing.
- Familiarity with paper filing and scanning processes.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working onsite in an office environment that values attention to detail.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
