JOB GOAL
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and production management of the district's central print shop. This position produces high-quality printed instructional and administrative materials in a timely, cost-effective manner while ensuring equipment functionality, workflow efficiency, and excellent customer service to district staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Operate high-volume production printers, copiers, and finishing equipment. 2. Review, adjust, and prepare electronic files for optimal print quality. 3. Produce instructional materials, testing documents, booklets, newsletters, manuals, and administrative publications. 4. Ensure quality control for alignment, color consistency, pagination, and finishing accuracy. 5. Maintain production schedules and prioritize jobs based on deadlines and district needs. 6. Receive and process print requests through designated ordering systems. 7. Communicate clearly with staff regarding job specifications, timelines, and cost considerations. 8. Provide recommendations for efficient printing methods and paper options. 9. Track print job volume and, if applicable, departmental chargebacks. 10. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. 11. Coordinate vendor service calls for major repairs. 12. Maintain inventory of paper, toner, ink, and finishing supplies. 13. Monitor equipment performance and report replacement needs. 14. Ensure confidentiality of student records, assessments, and personnel materials. 15. Adhere to copyright laws and district policies regarding reproduction of materials. 16. Maintain a safe and organized work environment in accordance with OSHA and district safety standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs in accordance with school policy, administrative regulations, state and federal laws.
