Job Description

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to support document management and records organization for a contract position based in San Antonio, Texas. This role focuses on maintaining accurate physical and electronic filing systems, preparing records for storage or disposal, and helping keep documentation accessible and well organized. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling high volumes of paperwork, scanning records, and supporting administrative filing projects with care and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Organize and place builder-related documents into completed house files to ensure records are accurate and easy to retrieve.
  • Retrieve accounting records for designated builders, prepare them for boxing, and move archived materials into storage areas.
  • Maintain both active and closed house files by sorting, filing, and updating binders and supporting paperwork.
  • Assist in putting together builder books by compiling and arranging required documentation in the proper order.
  • Process closed house records by filing completed documents and preparing older files for storage retention or secure destruction.
  • Scan, categorize, and file paperwork tied to lot takedowns and incoming lot purchase records, including deeds, title documents, and closing materials.
  • Collect miscellaneous documents identified for annual shredding projects and organize them for disposal.
  • Coordinate shredding activities by arranging service schedules with an approved shredding vendor.
