The Reading Foundation is a private clinic, located in Westwood, near the 405 and UCLA. We specialize in the assessment and treatment of learning difficulties through intensive remediation. Our research-based programs address not only reading, but also spelling, writing, comprehension, and math. The services that we provide are more akin to educational therapy than traditional tutoring. The Reading Foundation has a diverse client base, ranging in age and ability. More information about us is available at www.readingfoundation.com. Clinicians are responsible for:
Instructing students one-to-one in all remediation programs Carefully following student's individual programs Communicating observations about students Contributing to an empowering and collegial environment We are currently looking for qualified applicants to work for our team on a part-time basis starting in April 2026. This part-time availability has the possibility of more hours if scheduling permits. This will be an incredible opportunity to be an integral part of our teaching team. Required availability (part-time hours that fall within our hours of operation, as follows): April-June 2026: Monday to Friday (8:00 am
  • 6:30 pm); AND Saturday (8:00 am
  • 4:30 pm) July-August 2026: Monday to Friday (8:00 am
  • 4:30 pm) September 2026 onward: Monday to Friday (4:30
  • 6:30 pm) AND Saturday (8:00 am
  • 4:30 pm)
  • Minimum 1 year commitment.
Successful candidates will have:
The ability to establish rapport quickly, and with people of all ages A patient manner and compassionate nature The ability to adapt their teaching style to the needs of the student A background in psychology, some education streams (including EA), linguistics, English, sociology, or cognitive science is an asset but not a requirement.
