The Denver Region for the United State Census Bureau is hiring Field Representatives! (AZ/CO/KS/MT/ND/NE/NM/OK/SD/TX/UT/WY) Apply online @ https://www.usajobs.gov/job/857491400 Collect data for your community! $17.45/hour starting + 72.5cents/per mile driven Field Representative - U.S. Census Bureau The U.S. Census Bureau is hiring Field Representatives for ongoing survey work.

This is a strong fit for people who enjoy talking with others, working independently, and doing public service work that matters. Field Representatives help collect the information behind the statistics people hear in the news about employment, housing, crime, spending, and other major topics affecting communities across the country.

This is not a sales job . You are not trying to sell anything. You are having professional conversations, explaining why the survey matters, and collecting accurate information that helps inform important decisions. What to expect Field Representatives work on a variety of surveys, including CPS, AHS, NCVS, CEQ, CED, ACS, SIPP, and others . These surveys move into and out of sample throughout the year, and each one has its own data collection schedule and workload pattern.

That means this position offers variety , but not unlimited flexibility. Work hours can be a good fit for people who want part-time field work, but availability needs will depend on the surveys assigned. Some surveys have heavier work periods than others. For example, people looking for one especially busy work week each month often enjoy CPS work. Strong CPS Field Representatives are often trained on additional surveys as workload needs change and as their interests and availability align with other assignments.

Applicants should expect schedules to vary and should be comfortable working days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
