HARRIS CENTER
") is looking for a Forensic Clinical Court Interviewer (FCCI) to join our team. Under the general direction of the Program Manager, this position is responsible for clinical interviews, screenings, and assessments for 16.22 reporting. The FCCI may be utilized in the Harris County Jail or The Harris County Courts.
What you will do:
Performs clinical interviews to determine mental health status. Completes reporting in an accurate and timely manner as designated. Documents all findings in the medical record within required deadlines. Communicates and works with court staff/consumers/other staff in a manner that demonstrates sensitivity to cultural diversities. Performs related work as assigned and adapts to changing work requirements. Demonstrates ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities What qualifications you will need:
Education:
A minimum of Bachelor's degree in the human services field (psychology, sociology, etc.)
Experience:
2 years working in the field of mental health preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic understanding of what mental illness is, common signs, symptoms and able to identify difficulties with coping in community settings. Strong communication skills, listening and interpersonal skills above average, written documentation is clear, concise, well-constructed and grammatically correct. Able to work collaboratively with others in a teamwork environment. Effective time management and organizational skills. Local resource knowledge preferred.
