Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a diverse range of legal practices, including estate planning, civil litigation, and real estate law. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and possess strong research and drafting skills to assist attorneys in managing complex cases efficiently. This position is paid and provides a platform to develop your legal expertise across multiple practice areas while contributing to impactful legal work. Duties Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings. Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other research tools to support case development across various practice areas. Manage case files using document management systems like Clio; ensure proper filing and document review processes are followed. Support litigation activities by organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and assisting with document review for general & commercial litigation cases. Perform data entry tasks accurately within legal case management systems; handle clerical duties such as filing and maintaining records efficiently. Coordinate with clients and external parties via phone etiquette and professional communication standards. Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements in compliance with procedural law standards. Qualifications Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple practice areas or similar field. Excellent writing skills for drafting correspondence and legal documents; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing documents properly and managing administrative duties efficiently. Knowledge of contracts and procedural rules applicable across different jurisdictions; familiarity with litigation processes is a plus. Exceptional phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills for liaising with clients and external partners. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
